The Model

Three pillars,
one gym.

Most gyms make you pick: strength room or class card. We built Level Up around a hybrid model — because the people who stay consistent train strength, move well, and leave the floor knowing they pushed hard.

Hybrid training at Level Up means three non-negotiables: Strength (barbell and loaded movement you can progress), Stability (joints that tolerate load and sport), and Stamina (engine work that carries over to life, not just a leaderboard). Boxing isn't a side attraction — it's part of how we teach footwork, coordination, and the kind of effort that doesn't quit when it gets uncomfortable.

Train at our Stratford gym on Bruce Ave or our Bridgeport gym on Connecticut Ave. Same coaching standards, same programming philosophy, same member app and live schedule. Whether you live closer to Paradise Green or the corridor, you're walking into the same team — not a franchise copy.

Members mix formats across the week: a strength session Tuesday, boxing Thursday, small-group conditioning Saturday. Your coach helps you stack them so recovery, volume, and goals line up. That's the hybrid part — not a single class type, but a system you can live in for years.

Who it fits

Beginners who want structure without a generic globo-gym plan. Athletes who miss having a coach on the floor. Parents who need efficient sessions. Anyone who's bored of choosing between "lift day" and "cardio day" when both should be coached.

I do strength twice a week and boxing once — the coaches actually talk to each other about my plan. That never happened at my old gym.

The hybrid model sold me. I'm stronger than I've ever been and I can actually throw a combo without looking lost.

Seven years in Stratford and they still feel like a neighborhood gym — just with better equipment and real programming.

FAQ

How hybrid
works here.

Still unsure? Text us at (475) 445-1188 — usually a same-day reply.

No. Plenty of members focus on strength and group training only. Boxing classes are available when you want them — many people add combat training later for variety and conditioning.
Yes. One membership covers Stratford gym and Bridgeport gym. Book either location from the same app and keep the same coach relationships where schedules align.
Most beginners book a free consult, then either join our 6-week Onramp (18 coached sessions) or mix Boxing Fundamentals with group strength. Your coach recommends a path based on your schedule and goals.
No contracts. Month-to-month memberships and session packs — details on our membership page. Pause or cancel from your account without a phone tree.
Class caps, certified coaches on the floor (not screens), written programming, and combat-sport instruction under one roof. We're built for people who want coaching, not just access to machines.
